This privacy policy describes how the Sunrise Baseball app ("the App") collects, uses, and protects information.
Information we collect
- Coach accounts: When a coach creates an account, we collect their name, email address, and a password (stored in encrypted form).
- Player information: Coaches enter player roster information including player name, jersey number, position, birthdate, batting/throwing preference, and a parent or guardian email address.
- Evaluations: Coaches record skill ratings and notes about player performance.
How information is used
- To provide the App's features: roster management, player evaluations, draft preparation, and progress reports.
- Parent email addresses are used solely to let coaches send that parent their own child's evaluation report. Reports are sent from the coach's own email app; the App itself does not send emails automatically.
- Information is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or any third party for marketing.
Who can see what
- Access requires a verified account. New coaches must be verified with a one-time invite code issued by a league administrator.
- Verified coaches can view league-wide player evaluations for draft preparation purposes, but can only edit information for their own team.
- Parents receive only their own child's report.
Data storage and security
Data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider, with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access controls are enforced at the database level.
Children's privacy
The App is used by adult coaches and league administrators — children do not use the App or create accounts. Player information is entered by coaches for legitimate youth sports league purposes with the knowledge of the league. Parents or guardians may request their child's information be corrected or deleted at any time by contacting the league or the email below.
Data retention and deletion
Player data is retained for the duration of the season and league record-keeping. Coaches, parents, or guardians may request deletion of their data by emailing the address below. Account deletion requests are honored within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
